I wish so that we can intend a transformation of loving water working with us to heal, educate, activate and recreate our communities. Imagine that we can work it from south to north, west to east. Connecting on a walk, the greenways and wetlands from where ever we are in the valley, forest, urban or flat. Keep on truckin' in the garden. The workload, the imagination. Welcome fellow encarnated earth aliens to another Gaia Tribe experiment. This being the second month in 05 means this will be our second party in 05 as we are attempting to create each month for the Oregon sceene. These events are created through the collective energy of us doing our individual parts. Through community we see growth and expansion in all directions. Moore's show will consist of his monologue, interaction with the audience,
and a few surprise guests. He will read letters he's received from soldiers
in Iraq (published in his new book, "Will They Ever Trust Us Again --
Letters from the War Zone"), offer prizes for people who register to vote,
and conduct the "world's largest karaoke sing-a-long" to John Ashcroft's
"Let the Eagle Soar." At many venues Moore will show as yet-unseen clips
from his "Fahrenheit 9/11" DVD (to be released October 5), and give everyone
present a chance to win their own "pet goat."

"It should be a lot of fun," said Moore. "Most Americans don't vote, and
it's not all that hard to understand why. So, I'd like to offer them some
incentives to give it a try, just this once. The 50% who are the non-voters
are never called by pollsters and are usually ignored by candidates. Should
just a few percentage points of the 100 million non-voters decide to show up
on November 2 -- watch out." Moore said his goal is to see that over 56%
of the voting public votes in this election -- something that has not
happened since 1968.

"It is not the wealthy and the elite who don't vote," added Moore. "The
non-voters are the poor, the disenfranchised, the single moms and young
people. I am calling for a non-voter uprising, led by thousands of campus
slackers who proudly sleep 'til noon and who believe papers are for rolling,
not reading. They are rightfully cynical, but this year their motto will be:
"Bush and Kerry Both Suck -- That's Why I'm Voting for John Kerry!"

With a number of venues already sold out, over 600,000 people are expected
to show up on his tour. Early word of Moore's tour has already sparked
protests by campus Republicans and two schools have already caved to
pressure to cancel Moore's event. "I understand why some Bush supporters
might be upset," Moore reflected. "I would be, too, if I only had a few
weeks left in power."

Come celebrate the gift of life through sacred art and ecstatic dance. Join us as we re-discover and re-create our connection to the source of inspiration and vision. May we experience directly our true nature as open and vibrant beings to share this with the world. The oldest and most universal path to this experience is dance.
As Goa Gil says, "Since the beginning of time, humankind has used magic and dance to commune with the spirits of nature and the spirits fo the universe."
Sunset drum invocation followed by Arieane's ethno-tribal mix begins the journey. Ritual continues throughout the weekend as Gil brings future sounds that induce primal movements. We may meet demons and soar with angels; in this all-night and all-day cyber-shamanic ritual trance-dance, we shake ourselves awake and alive.

Some preparation time can be helpful for the journey. Everyone is invited to camp in the forest throughout the weekend, swim and play by the beach or in the "falls", hike up the creek or relax in the sauna. Bring food to share for the community kitchen.

Come relax, sauna and sing on Friday night. Blissful, devotional chants and dance with Jaya Lakshmi and Deva Priyo (from Lost at Last) at 10pm Friday. Saturday led yoga, kirtan, sunset drum invocation and all night dance.

Entheogenic art show: amazing works by local artists such as Jarod Knapp,David Heskin,Jonathan Weber,Roman Villagrana,Luke Brown, Ver de Luz, Arun and others.

1. South on I-5 to Exit 253. Go left toward Detroit Lake / Stayton.

3. Take a left just after the river onto Kingston Jordan Rd. and follow the centerline all the way to Hwy 226 which will be marked with Scio / Lyons Hwy 226 sign at a stop.

3. In Scio, Hwy 226 turns right at blinking light, just after the Chevron.
4. Shortly after highway mile marker 16, there will be a sign for Hannah Covered Bridge.
5. Go right at the bridge. This is Camp Morrison Rd. Go uphill and past Church. Follow road a few miles though farmland to forestland. Just past Dead End sign is our driveway, on the right, with mailbox #44420. You can't see the house from the road. If you hit dirt road, you've gone too far.

who is Goa Gil?
Gil grew up in the middle fo the San Francisco music scene of the 60's. Then he left to India in 1969. Having been a musician all his life and doing intense yogic practices with gurus in the Himalayas, he tried to unite the two (music and yoga) into one benefiting this age. The result was the birth of the full moon parties that started in India and spread to other countries. Goa Gil has been constantly focusing on using the party situation as a medium to uplift the consciousness of the participants through the trance dance experience.

My friend Matt makes didjs and he wanted to donate/ auction one off to donate $ to Dancing Dragons festival, and right after that I saw this man walk by that I knew needed a didj, or somthing revolving around didjs. SO I ran up to him, said - "Hey you don't know me, but I'm Katrina, Kachina Katrina*, and my intuition told me to talk to you"
well he was astounded, but took the edge off after I hugged him*
I mentioned somehting about didjes and he lit up- well this was ment to go to him. after some collaborations and time I saw him leaving with the didj in hand. It was so special, because he told me that before that moment, everything in his life was broken, his glasses were broken, his heart was broken, everything. And the didj (really the moment) mended it.
How sweet is that! He even kissed my car before leave (silly- cuteness)....

Where do you want to go with this

Now that we have converged and created something really special, and know that there is an underling purpose of sustainability for this festival~ where do you want to go with this energy to move it forward?

I'd like to have fundraising events on different cities, get the word out about this festival and organization.

I'd like to have a debriefing session with people and the organizers on where to go with this, and feel that all input from whomever, you, your friends, someone who said something that struck you... all of it is valuable and enables this to continue to grow.

Creating a pamphlet that high -lights our talent!

I would like to highlight all of the amazing talent we have going into this event by creating a pamphlet that shows what we are about. This festival is diverse and holds great potential for more possibilities, professionally and collaborativily. This is the beacon from which we pour our wealth sparkling with creativity.
Enough silliness ~ let's get on with producing a quality show!
Send Aris and I the information you would like in the pamphlet, pictures (jpg stylie), bio, inspirations, and anything else you would like to contribute - by Thursday!

I will be leaving out to the site on Thursday and the last thing I want to do is make photocopies. This is a grrreat chance to get yourself out there, and finally make some money and strengthen the abundance of our support network.

Playful stage staff notes

Here are the updates on the Playful area:

Set-up time & Parking:
Set-up time is Thursday evening & Friday morning.
You can drive into the meadow for the sound and larger items for
setting up.
Other wise there is staff parking back behind Bob’s house, it will be clearly marked where to go. I encourage carpooling.
*If anyone can make it earlier on Thursday to help set-up a shade structure this man, Rick, is bringing made of bamboo that would be very helpful. If not there are other volunteers.
*Please acknowledge this e-mail by responding back to me via phone or e-mail with the time you plan on arriving, needs, and anything else.

Passes:
When you arrive at the admissions gate your name will be on a huge volunteer list (alphabetical order) please have ID ready. Go park, find us and we'll be having fun setting up. There will be someone at the Gate on Thursday & Friday until midnight, please come before
then.

Carpooling/ ride share:
Please check in with me to let me know when you will be arriving and your needs, so we can best accommodate them. We can communicate through Tribe.net on the Dancing Dragons tribe about carpooling with each other, or through e-mail (it may be better through tribe, so it is centrally located and our e-mail boxes don't explode).

*Ride share: if you can't find a ride, there is ride share available on the Dancing Dragons website, where you post when % where you're leaving from. Then it will hook you up with other driver and/ or riders.

Camping:
We will create our own village behind the Playful area/ Dragons' lair in this meadow. There is a bridge that leads to it. It has shade during the day and the path is lit up at night. Mattie is bringing some shade structures as well. Thank you*
*There are mosquitoes, so bring your citronella candles and repellent!
*Bring your own water& containers, there are water spickets available
to refill.

F00D: yumm....
There is a crew kitchen for working crew, located in the vending
area. You will get a wrist band and be fed the entire weekend, there will be certain hours that the kitchen is open serving meals, I will let you know those hours ASAP- probably at the site. Please bring your own snack food, kitchen utensils, and donations $ for the crew kitchen. They are spending a lot of money on feeding us, so let's show our appreciation.
*I'd say take advantage of the other vendors as well, good food all around. There is a Raw food booth I'm fond of the Sun Kitchen. Staff may get discounts at the other food booths as well. yeah*

Showers
There are showers on site, and port-a-potties, near our area the showers cost some money ($5 ?) for hot showers, the cold showers are free* and I'll show you where they are at our site meeting on Thursday at 11pm in our village.

SITE Meeting:
We'll all be arriving Thursday evening & Friday. Let's meet Thursday night around 11pm in our village. We can touch base on Friday around noon, have lunch together. We'll figure it out.
*Also Hornings Hideout likes to have all the volunteers gather to go over the norms/rules of the site and make sure that everyone is on

Talent show and art:
Jerod & Erika are bringing interdimensional artwork, on Sat at 3pm Joey is performing his joyful expressions through original dance and music, & Lafa will be spreading the word through conscious hip hop. Toonie & Aris will be spreading the magic through their unbelievable decor, Jen's snuggle city, Mattie with his lighting array of colors, and Manoj spreading the sound waves galore. Not to mention all the incredible DJ's who we are forever grateful for!
Elliot for hooking up the Kirton's enchantment of chants and dance,Luna with the ecstically wonderful workshop.

THANK YOU! ALL SOO MUCH! YEOWW! With out you this wouldn't be possible. We are on the brink of something very special, and it is part of all of our paths to be a part of this, can't quite explain it, but there is something powerful here that is leading to something greater.
